We all met at Zio's Italian Restaurant for lunch, then headed to the Reunion Hostess' home for conversation, yearbook/scrapbook rummaging and more conversation. At first, I was failing at the art of small-talk, but I finally found my sociable groove and had a great time. It's interesting to see how people's directions in life either radically veered from original post-graduation intentions or stayed perfectly on track. It's also interesting to see that for the most part, people are just the same as in high school only older.
My own Reunion Story is non-existent. I graduated in 1986 among 650 people from a public school just down the road here in Euless. I didn't have many friends then and I haven't kept up with any of them since. I love the fact that with my wife's graduating class, no amount of years can diminish the common bond in Christ we all share.
